Humble Beginnings

The Farrer family has served Murfreesboro for 70 years. In 1954, Mr. LH Farrer and his son, Fred started Farrer Construction Company. Following his service in the Navy, Charles R. Farrer joined them in 1961, making it a 3 way partnership. In 1964, LH retired and Fred and Charlie expanded the business into several different outlets. They formed Farrer Bros. Properties in 1966; and in 2004, the brothers started companies of their own, CRF Properties and Fred Farrer Properties and both are still in business today, providing affordable housing for the Murfreesboro community. Mr. Charles Farrer passed away in 2019 and he is dearly missed. His contributions to his community live on through the many charitable organizations he supported. His son, Charles F. Farrer and his granddaughter, Hanna L. Farrer carry on his legacy of service to the Murfreesboro community.
